WEST MELBOURNE, Florida – Sunshine State Superkids is now in their second year of giving children and families a day of racing for FREE. The non-profit organization is now working with many organizations, special needs or non-special needs children.

They have expanded the program to not just special needs children and children from the school system. They are now working with the Foster Care Group Homes in each of the areas they race in the Central Florida.

These homes are always looking for things to do with the children living there. With this program working with the special needs children, families find out that the siblings, that normally cannot
play together, can do this together.

On November 18, Sunshine State Superkids will be having their Second Annual Melbourne Superkids Classic. This event is open to all children in the area.

Children from all ages of 7-18 years old can come out to race whether special needs or non-special needs children. Car racing a lot of fun for children and families alike.

This event and all others throughout the state are totally free to the families. They bring all the cars and equipment needed for the day. They also get donuts for the morning, pizza for lunch and water for the day.

All the children will go home with a trophy, plaque or medal for the day. The children that are drivers will need to understand that this program was made for the children with special needs and
there is a good chance there will be one in the car with them.

They ask all the parents to understand this is an entire day event.

Sunshine State Superkids will also have a special attraction for the day of the event. They have been lucky to have the FedEx #11 Monster Energy Cup Joe Gibb’s Racing Car, driven by Denny Hamlin coming to spend the day watching the races.

The children will have the opportunity to take photos with the car when they are not racing themselves. Children will need to be at the site 8:00 am and the races will start around 9:00
am.

The event will go to between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., depending on the number of children coming out.

The event will be held at Imagine Charter School at 3355 Imagine Way, West Melbourne.
