MELBOURNE, Florida – A Palm Bay man has been arrested in connection to an armed robbery at Del’s Freez last month, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

Antonio Roshawn McGhee, 35, has been identified as the suspect who pointed a firearm to employees on June 21, 2018, at Del’s Freez in Melbourne, the report said.

McGhee placed an order for ice cream and then pointed a black semi-automatic handgun while demanding money from employees, according to the affidavit.

“Don’t make me kill you,” McGhee allegedly told employees while pointing the handgun, the affidavit said.

McGhee then fired the handgun into the business within a few feet of employees, witnesses said.

Employees gave McGhee the cash from their register prior to him fleeing on foot.

“All four victims stated they were in fear for their safety and their lives,” Melbourne Police said.

At the time of the robbery, there were numerous customers nearby eating their ice cream who either heard or witnessed the incident, according to the report.

A 9mm shell casing and a projectile were recovered from inside the business.

In addition to the robbery at Del’s Freez, the same firearm and other evidence have linked McGhee to two additional armed robberies in Brevard County.

The firearm recovered during McGhee’s arrest was reported stolen on June 2, 2018, from a vehicle burglary in Palm Bay.
