MELBOURNE, Florida – A man who was caught smoking marijuana inside a public restroom had cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine on him, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

Police said the drugs were packaged with intent to sell.

On Monday at approximately 12:30 p.m. a security guard at Brevard Health Alliance called the Melbourne Police Department to report that he believed someone was smoking narcotics in the men’s public restroom after smelling the odor of marijuana.

Officers arrived and saw Walker exiting from a stall in the restroom.

“Upon exit from the stall, I detected an odor of burned marijuana coming from his person, and he had an unlit cigarette hanging from his mouth,” the officer said.

The officer instructed Walker to walk outside with him. Walker was placed under arrest, and a search of his backpack revealed numerous suspected narcotics.

  • Plastic straws used for narcotics, and unused needles commonly used for heroin.

Additionally, Walker was charged with possession of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana within 1000 feet of a private college with the intent to distribute.
