MELBOURNE, Florida – Deputies say a 36-year-old Merritt Island man burned a woman’s face using a butane torch after she smashed his meth pipe, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael Milano is charged with felony aggravated domestic battery and felony domestic battery by strangulation.
On Tuesday at approximately 3 p.m., deputies received a call to 340 Myrtice Avenue in Merritt Island from a woman claiming she was in an altercation with Milano. She said the two have been living in a storage room on the property.
The woman said that around midnight the previous night, Milano had been using a butane torch to smoke meth from a glass pipe. The woman said he used the torch to severely burn her face after she smashed the pipe, the report said.
Deputies said Milano then began choking her. The victim said she could not breathe and “saw white.” Milano then left the area, according to the report.
Milano is being held at the Brevard County Jail on $25,000 bail.
