MELBOURNE – On January 1, 2019, a Brevard County Sheriff’s Officer was parked outside of the Red Leopard in Melbourne, Florida waiting for the gentlemen’s club to close for the night.

The officer watched as one of the club bouncers escorted Ramon Diaz, of Melbourne, from the Red Leopard and asked him to leave. The 29-year-old was uncooperative, he refused to leave and swung at the bouncer striking him in the face.

Several Sheriff’s Deputies intervened and stopped Diaz. He continued to be aggressive and refused to comply with their orders to stop until he was handcuffed, according to the affidavit.

Diaz was placed under arrest at the Red Leopard in Melbourne and charged with Battery, Resisting an Officer without Violence, Marijuana – Possession <20 Grams, and Introducing Contraband into a Jail Facility.His bond was set at $3,500.
