MELBOURNE, Florida – A Brevard County Sheriff’s Agent communicated and foiled the plans of a Texas man who was looking to try necrophilia and cannibalism.
The agent, who also works for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations Task Force, had shocking conversations with Alexander Barter, 21, through encrypted email.
The emailing began after the agent noticed an unusual ad posted by Barter that read: “I’d like to try necrophilia and cannibalism and see how it feels to take a life,” Barter’s post read.
After reading this shocking post, the agent told the Shelby County, Texas resident that he had a daughter he could kill.
“I’m not into role-playing. I want to actually rape, kill and cannibalize her,” Barter stated as he accepted the offer.
Barter was arrested on October 19, 2018, by a team of Brevard County deputies who picked him up in Joaquin, Texas.
According to Sheriff Ivey, he showed up to their meeting with a knife and bags “to take the body parts out.”
Barter’s charges include attempted capital murder, criminal solicitation, attempted sexual performance of a child, and conspiracy to commit capital murder.
