Every winter, Right whales are sighted off the Atlantic coast between Jacksonville and Cape Canaveral. They can grow to be 55 feet long, and 70 tons.

According to scientists, there are only an estimated 490 right whales. However, thanks to volunteer whale watchers, these numbers are beginning to increase.
