PALM BAY, Florida – The weather in Palm Bay and Melbourne is wet and windy, but at least there’s no hurricane in Brevard County.

It’s a mess driving down Palm Bay Road because this weather just brings out more traffic. Expect only a few areas of flooding, but nothing major like we saw a few days ago.

Melbourne is much of the same, a few hazardous roadways that are only minor.

However, that might change this week because the rain is expected to continue through Saturday. There might be a chance for us to break away from the rain on Sunday, but we’ll see.

So, why all the rain in Brevard County?

There’s a small tropical disturbance that’s moving through Palm Bay and Melbourne from the Atlantic. It’s a disturbance that’s bringing a lot of winds and rain to our area.

There might be some breaks of sunshine, but it will be showers for the most part.

The rain will continue off and on this afternoon and into the night. Wind gusts as much as 30 mph.

Wednesday will be much of the same, with showers and winds throughout the day and night.

And just when you think we’re going to get a break from the winds and rain, it’s expected to be here through Saturday.

We’ll keep you updated on any flooding or road hazards.
