PALM BAY, Florida – The Palm Bay Police Department is seeking the identity of several burglars who targeted the Blue Diamond Pawn Shop on Sept. 11, during Hurricane Irma.

“They used this cover of the hurricane to break in,” Lt. Mike Bandish said. “The pawn shop had bars, alarms and video systems”

Bandish says 36 guns were taken, along with electronics and watches.

“They weren’t able to buy guns so they broke in and stole them so we want to get them off the street,” Bandish added. “If these individuals are apprehended and convicted, the judge can put enhanced penalties on their crimes since it happened during a state of emergency.”
