PALM BAY, Florida – Palm Bay Police Department would like your help locating a suspected seen, over the weekend, attempting to video two young children in a Walgreen’s bathroom stall.

On Saturday, a 9-year-old girl, and her 4-year-old brother walked into the restroom at the Walgreens at 5245 Babcock Street. They immediately saw the man in the bathroom with a camera and ran out and notified a Walgreen’s employee.

The suspect was seen wearing an afro-style haircut and a gray hoodie when leaving the store.

“(The man) went into the bathroom and was videotaping kids. We’re not sure he was targeting kids because he just went in, but the fact that children were involved will enhance the charge,” said Lt. Mike Bandish, spokesman for the Palm Bay Police Department. Police said the two children said the man, holding a cellphone, was videotaping them through a space in the bathroom stall.

Authorities are hoping that someone will recognize the man and turn him in. The mother of the children was in the store’s photo department when the incident took place.

Police are urging parents and guardians to accompany their children to all public restrooms, when possible.
