Palm Bay Woman Saved in Blaze by Palm Bay Fire Rescue

PALM BAY, Florida – A woman who suffered from burns was transported to a local facility for care after rescue units saved her from a fire, officials told Palm Bay Daily.

Units responded to reports Friday of fire on Daffodil Drive SE, in the Malabar Cove apartment complex.

“The crews were able to save a burn victim from the fire, helping her to safety outside of the unit,” a spokesman for Palm Bay Fire Rescue said.

“Sprinklers were activated inside the apartment, but crews still made entry to extinguish the rest of the fire, encountering heavy smoke conditions along the way.”

Palm Bay paramedics took the woman to Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.

Fire Rescue is trying to determine the cause of the fire.
