PALM BAY, Florida – A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on multiple charges after she burglarized her neighbor’s home to pawn items for money, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.

Jessica Maybach was booked on charges of Child Neglect, Burglary, Grand Theft, False Verification Ownership Secondhand Dealer, and Dealing in Stolen Property.

The victim returned home and contacted the police in Palm Bay after he realized his home burglarized. Several items were taken, including a large screen television, several electronic items, cordless saw, Dainese leather motorcycle jacket, a pair of sneakers, and several cordless drills and chargers.

During questioning, the victim had a hunch that his neighbor, Maybach, may be responsible for the home burglary. So, officers ran a pawn check on Jessica Mayback.

A pawn check is an online computer system which allows police to conduct a nationwide search. During the check, the officer discovered that Maybach pawned multiple items which fit the description given by the victim.

The victim met with officers at the Beachside Pawn shop, located at 800 E. Eau Gallie Blvd., where several items were recovered. Immediately, the victim recognized several items belonging to him.

Police arrested Maybach and transported her to the Brevard County Jail. Bond set at $51,000.00.
