PALM BAY, Florida – A woman who was arrested last month for DUI with her children in the car has been charged again after police found her passed out a second time.

Shannon Morgan Maynard, of Palm Bay, was passed out behind the wheel while in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Malabar Road, according to the report.

The caller then told Palm Bay police Maynard woke up and drove down Malabar Road. Officers located the vehicle, a black Ford Explorer, described by the caller.

“Upon speaking to the defendant, she had slurred and mumbled speech and a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath,” the officer said.

Maynard told the officer she drank half of a Four Loko alcoholic beverage. She refused to complete standard field sobriety tests.

Maynard was arrested for DUI and transported to the Brevard County Jail.

Last month, Maynard was found passed out behind the wheel with an infant in the same vehicle. A city worker found her vehicle sitting in the middle of the roadway.

The worker told police Maynard woke up and drove off again, passing out a second time in the middle of another intersection on Malabar Road.
