PALM BAY, Florida – Police are searching for a robbery suspect they said threatened a clerk with a knife at the Mobil gas station on U.S. Highway 1 Thursday morning.

The robbery was reported about 8 a.m.

The clerk told police the suspect fled north on foot from the gas station.

Police created a parameter in the 3900 block of U.S. 1 with a police dog and a helicopter from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Palm Bay police were searching for a suspect they said threatened a clerk with a knife at a gas station Thursday morning, before running away.

The incident was reported about 8 a.m.

A police dog searched properties surrounding the Mobil station in the 3900 block of U.S. 1 while the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office helicopter flew overhead. Police said the suspect fled north on foot.

The suspect was seen wearing a dark green long-sleeved shirt and a white shirt or mask covering his face.

Police have not released any information on whether the suspect left the store with money.
