Palm Bay Man Extricated from Truck with Serious Injuries

MELBOURNE – On Thursday, January 17, 2019, at around 2:30 a.m. the Melbourne Police Department responded to a crash at the intersection Wickham Road and Post Road involving a signboard truck and a vacuum truck.

Cyle Douglas Clawson, of Palm Bay, was the driver of the vacuum truck. Firefighters were able to extricate the 27-year-old from the truck. However, he sustained serious injuries due to being pinned inside the vehicle.

According to the preliminary investigation, Clawson’s truck struck the signboard truck in the rear. Authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a factor in this accident.

This accident is currently still under investigation.
