PALM BAY, Florida – A Micco woman was arrested Monday evening after attacking a former friend on Malabar Road, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.
Rebecca Lynn Beasley, 21, instructed her boyfriend to pull over their vehicle after she saw the victim walking down the street according to reports.
“The defendant observed the victim walking down the sidewalk located near Malabar Rd/I-95 … The defendant instructed her boyfriend to pull the vehicle over to the side of the road,” the officer said.
Beasley allegedly exited the vehicle and chased the “victim to the ground” and began to strike her multiple times, according to the report.
Police said the victim showed them multiple injuries consistent with her statements. She was bleeding from the altercation. Beasley also sustained injuries from fighting with the victim on the pavement.
Beasley told police she did exit the vehicle to chase her former friend but said she only “grabbed the victim and turned her around to speak with her,” the report shows.
The boyfriend told police that Beasley instructed him to pull over because she had a “beef with her,” the report said.
Beasley is currently on probation for a Battery Domestic, according to jail records. She was transported to the Brevard County Jail and is now being held on a $7,000 bond.
