Culver Drive Widening Project in Palm Bay

PALM BAY – This week, The City of Palm Bay issued the notice to proceed for the Culver Drive road widening project.

The Culver Drive project is slated to begin on January 14th, 2019 and is scheduled for a construction period of 300 days. Work will be managed by the Public Works Engineering Division and funded with Transportation Impact Fees.

The project will address capacity issues on Culver Drive by widening the roadway from two to four lanes. Other infrastructure improvements will be made during construction, including improvements to the drainage system and the installation of new water and sewer mains to provide enhanced utility service to the area. Portions of the existing sidewalk will also be reconstructed to meet current ADA standards.

During construction, motorists traveling on Culver Drive can expect partial road closures and should plan travel times accordingly.
