VIERA – The No Place Like Home 5K Run/Walk, to help homeless families, will be Friday, March 1st, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Church at Viera.

Enjoy a fun race, music, local vendors, raffles, a race-themed costume contest and awards all for a great cause.

“As we all know, there is no place like home, but for some families in Brevard County there is no home at all,” said Sheriff Wayne Ivey of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

“That’s why this year the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with Family Promise Of Brevard to bring you the Annual Emerald City 5K that fights homelessness in our community,” Ivey added.

Race shirts are guaranteed as long as you register by February 14, 2019.

Race Fees

Now through 2/28/19 adults are $25, and children 12-years-old and under are $15. On race day the cost goes up to adults $30 and children 12-years-old and younger $20.

Awards

Awards will be given for the best race-themed costume, fastest costume
Top 3 Overall M & F, Top 3 Teams (min. of 4 – must be co-ed), Top Masters M & F, and Top 3 M & F in Age Groups: 8 & Under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.

Packet Pickup & Registration

Participants can register, and pick up their packets on Thursday, February 28, 2019, between 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Running Zone, located at 3696 N. Wickham Rd., in Melbourne.

Late registration opens on Friday, March 1, 2019, from 4:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. at Church at Viera, located at 9005 N. Wickham Rd., in Viera.

The No Place Like Home 5K Run/Walk will begin at 6:00 p.m. The kids run will start at 7:15 p.m. and the award ceremony will follow immediately.
