PALM BAY, Fla. – A 41-year-old woman was arrested on multiple charges after breaking into a Palm Bay apartment and cutting another woman with a knife, police said.

Cowonna Latrese Green told Palm Bay police she only broke in to retrieve her husband, who was with the female victim, according to the report.

The victim told officers that Green entered the apartment through a bedroom window. Soon after, the two were in a physical altercation inside the kitchen.

Police said Green allegedly obtained a knife from the kitchen and went after a woman in the apartment. The victim sustained lacerations to her left hand from the knife. Green entered the apartment without permission, committing Armed Burglary and Aggravated Battery Causing Bodily Harm.

Green denied using utilizing a knife but indicated it was the victim who grabbed a knife and she disarmed her.

Police arrested Green and turned her over to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office for booking in the county jail.
