PALM BAY, Florida – It’s not always the case of “Blessed are the Peacemakers” when there’s an argument between a husband and wife.
Katrina Bush, 51, was arrested on a charge of battery domestic violence Wednesday at her residence in the 2000 block of Kosuth Road after an argument with her husband.
Bush told police the argument was about a toll violation she received. The husband was mad at her for getting the violation.
As the argument escalated, the husband tried to leave multiple times as Bush followed him. He finally made it to the backyard where she “intentionally touched” him by patting her husband and saying “what are you going to do” to him, according to the report.
The husband asked Bush to leave him alone, but she continued to follow him and then at one point touched the victim “against his will by hugging him as he tried to leave,” the arrest affidavit said.
The husband tried to enter the residence, but Bush stood in front of him and placed her foot in front of the door to block him. He then pushed her to the ground and entered the home.
Bush did have some scrapes from the altercation, the report said.
The husband told law enforcement that his wife would not leave him alone after the verbal argument. He said he wanted to avoid the situation, but that the two fell to the ground when she blocked him from re-entering the home, according to police.
Police determined Bush as the primary aggressor.
“Katrina committed the offense of Battery Domestic Violence by intentionally touching [the husband] against his will multiple times by padding his body and hugging him,” the officer said.
Katrina Bush was taken into custody and transported to the Brevard County Jail for booking.
