The Melbourne Police Department responded to a call at the 600 block of Wisteria Dr, in reference to a domestic battery on Monday, December 3, 2018, at approximately 11:29 am.

Upon arrival, the first responding officer made contact inside the residence with the victim, Angelo Costantini, and assisted him with getting back into his wheelchair. Due to a double amputation of both his legs Angelo is confined to his wheelchair.

Angelo stated he was involved in a verbal altercation with his sister Aundrea. During the altercation Aundrea became physical, pushing Angelo out of his wheelchair onto the floor of the residence, accord to reports.

Next, the officer made contact with Aundrea Marie Costantini, 50, outside of the residence. Aundrea stated she was involved in an altercation with her brother Angelo.

She stated during the altercation Angelo said, “Some very nasty comments” like “Your mother was a whore.” Aundrea stated Angelo attempted to strike her from his wheelchair; she stated she pushed Angelo out of the wheelchair.

Through my investigation, I was able to determine the defendant did commit an intentional act that could reasonably be expected to result in physical injury to a disabled adult.

Due to the domestic aspects of this event, Angelo was provided a copy of his legal rights and remedies.

Aundrea was placed into handcuffs and arrested for crimes against person – abuse elderly or disabled adult without great harm.

She was taken to the Melbourne Police Department for booking and later turned over to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

According to jail records, Aundrea was also arrested last month and charged with Felony Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, and Felony Resisting Arrest with Violence.
