Shooting at Sunoco in Melbourne, one person injured

MELBOURNE, Florida – Early Friday morning, there was a shooting at the Sunoco gas station across the street from Palm Bay Magnet High School.

Police say they received a call from a man working the register at Sunoco, located at 4000 S. Babcock Street, in reference to gunshots.

Officers arrived just after 2 a.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital.

Sgt. John Chapman of the Melbourne Police Department said the Sunoco clerk heard approximately 15 shots fired.

As of Friday morning, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident. The gunman has not been identified.

UPDATE: Police say the victim is 21-year-old Twonnie Pollard from Palm Bay and he was shot multiple times.
