PALM BAY – On Monday, December 24, 2018, at approximately 11:39 pm a police officer from the Palm Bay Police Department observed a red Pontiac driving west on Palm Bay Rd. An FCIC/NCIC query revealed that the owner had a warrant for failure to appear.
The officer pulled next to the vehicle and identified the driver as the registered owner of the vehicle. He conducted a traffic stop at 1213 Palm Bay Rd. The driver Jennifer Christine Lawson, 45, was placed under arrest.
When Inventoring Lawson’s purse authorities discovered two clear plastic bags. One of the bags had small clear crystal rocks inside, which was recognized by the officer as crystal meth. The brown rocks yielded positive results for heroin.
The Palm Bay resident was arrested and charged with FTA Misdemeanor, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Methamphetamine without a prescription.
Lawson was transported to the Palm Bay Police Department for booking and later turned over to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
HeR bond was set at $5,000.
