PALM BAY – On Thursday, the Palm Bay Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Calloway Lane in Melbourne.

As the vehicle began to pull over, the back right passenger door opened and Lavincent Davino Thomas, of Palm Bay, jumped out of the moving vehicle.

After backtracking the foot pursuit, LEO’s found two clear plastic bags exactly where the officer observed Thomas reaching in his pocket. One clear bag was filled with crack cocaine, and the other was heroin.

Thomas, 21, was arrested and charged with Heroin – Possession, Cocaine – Possession, Resisting an Officer Without Violence, and Tampering With or Fabricate Physical Evidence.
