PALM BAY, Florida – A 37-year-old man was arrested Thursday after he exposed himself in front of two middle school students walking to school, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.

Michael Anson Benjamin, of Palm Bay, was charged with two counts of lewd or lascivious exhibition from the incident.

Police said the two students, who attend Southwest Middle School, were walking to school near Turner Square Plaza when Benjamin allegedly exposed himself.

The students then ran to the school after the incident as Benjamin allegedly yelled out, “Hey, come back here.”

Police used surveillance video from the plaza and other areas to track down Benjamin.

Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested Benjamin. He later confessed to the crime, police said.

Benjamin was taken to the Brevard County Jail and is expected to have a court hearing Friday.
