PALM BAY, Florida – A hotel clerk called 911 after a man and woman destroyed a room at the Holiday Inn Express, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.

Jeffar Akbari, 31, and Stephanie Miller, 39, were arrested at the hotel located at 1206 Malabar Road early Sunday, the report said.

Akbari and Miller were charged with felony criminal mischief, misdemeanor battery and probation violations.

Akbari also was charged with possession of marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.

Police say a hotel worker called law enforcement after Miller told them “she was tired of getting beat up and wanted to press charges,” according to the report.

Officers arrived Sunday and found Akbari and Miller in the room. They both had injuries and were bleeding. Police said the room had roughly $1,000 worth of damages.

The couple never told police about what happened between them. Arrest affidavits show that they are both homeless.

Akbari remained at the Brevard County Jail in lieu of $19,500 bail. Miller posted $3,000 bail and has been released.
