Melbourne Man Charged With Battery After Meeting Woman On Dating Website

MELBOURNE, Florida – Officers were dispatched to a business located at 500 N. Wickham Road after a man allegedly battered a woman, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

Police said Ryan Magrane Holland, 26, was charged with Battery after he allegedly grabbed the woman’s buttocks and other areas.

The victim told Melbourne Police that she met Holland on an online dating website and the two agreed to meet at his place of employment.

While at the business, Holland allegedly attempted to kiss the victim and then grabbed her, according to the report.

“The defendant had grabbed her wrist to pull her towards him, it was at this time the defendant grabbed the victim’s buttocks,” the officer said.

The victim also said that “he grabbed my butt and as I pulled away his hand touched my vagina,” according to the affidavit.

Holland was arrested for Battery and transported to the Brevard County Jail. Since he was already on probation, he is being held without bond.

In 2010, Holland was charged with two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Battery on a Victim 12-18 Years of Age, and two counts of Molestation on a Child Under the Age of 18.

Additionally, according to jail records, Holland was arrested for Assault and other charges in 2014.
