Melbourne man calls 911 from jail after being arrested

MELBOURNE, Florida – A man who was being booked in jail called 911 for help, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

Trevon Malik Syndab, 19, was booked on charges of Burglary and Resisting Police. Prior to being transported to the Brevard County Jail, Melbourne police offered him a phone to call someone, the report said.

Unfortunately, he never called a friend or a family member to help him out of jail. Instead, he called 911 for help.

Police added another charge of Misusing the 911 Service.
