Arrest Made in Melbourne Murder Case

MELBOURNE, Florida – The Melbourne Police Department has made an arrest in the Thursday, November 1st, 2018 murder of 29-year-old Rashad Scott.

Stephen J. Potter, 57, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, reclassified with a firearm, in connection with the early morning shooting on Stewart Avenue in Melbourne.

Police were called to 1405 Stewart Avenue shortly before 2:45 a.m. after Scott was fatally shot.
