From the beaches to the preserves, Palm Bay has a lot of exciting things to do in Brevard County.

Palm Bay Beaches

Palm Bay has several beaches within driving distance, and some of the world renown, including Cocoa Beach where you can visit the 2-story Ron John Surf Shop. But near Palm Bay in Brevard County, Melbourne Beach is the closest. It’s located where the edge of 192 meets A1A. The next one is Paradise Beach, which is further north on A1A and sits closer to the Eau Gallie Causeway. Last, Ocean Ave is about a 10-minute drive south of Melbourne Beach. This is where the locals like to go because it’s smaller and has a variety of restaurants nearby. Parking is limited.

Palm Bay Kayaks

This place delivers kayaks to Palm Bay, Melbourne, Malabar, Grant, Valkaria, and the surrounding areas of Brevard County, the Space Coast, and the Indian River Lagoon. The rates are low and it’s a good way to see the outdoors. For more info, call (321) 914-9992.

Micco Scrub Sanctuary

This is an area that protects 1,322 acres of the county’s remaining scrubby flatwoods and mesic flatwoods habitat and offers a bicycle trail, horseback riding trail, and a hiking trail. The outdoor activites are season at the Micco Scrub Santuary from October through April (7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and May through September (7 a.m. to 8 p.m.). It’s located at 500 Micco Road in Palm Bay.
